Kelly Air Force Base played a pivotal role in American military aviation history, from its establishment in 1916 as one of the nation's first military aviation facilities through its closure in 2001. The base was a major employer in San Antonio and contributed significantly to the region's economy and identity.
The Kelly Heritage Foundation has partnered with Boeing to establish the Boeing Center at Tech Port, a $2.3 million investment in education and community engagement. This partnership reflects the shared commitment to honoring the past while building for the future.
